It’s Saturday but this definitely qualifies as a lazy sunday surf piece. Whole meme craze has, so far, passed me by – until today, that is, when I got hit by Abul on farcebook. I would have had ignored it (sorry Abul), but I read on his blog, that the whole thing is “of a musical variety” and decided to give it a go. Here is the deal, plus my results and comments (yes, I have to have an opinion about everything):

1. put your itunes/ipod/whatever on shuffle

2. for the answer to each question press for next song – the title is your answer

How did I do? More than funnily, I would say. I put last.fm links to the song titles wherever I could

WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL? Apparently Nothin’ (Young Disciples)
and we’re off to a good start

HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY? Future sound of London (don’t remember the band’s name)

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE’S PURPOSE? Sweet song (Blur)
I would have thought it’s closer to “Coffee and TV”, but I can live with this.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO? My poor brain (Foo Fighters)
how accurate!

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU? Highest Grade Dub (Roots Manuva)
HA!

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN? Every you and every me (Placebo)
indeed

WHAT IS 2+2? Avalon (Sigur Ros)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR BEST FRIEND? Rise (Gabrielle)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON YOU LIKE? She came in through the bathroom window (The Beatles)
She? that is informative

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY? The Plaint: o let me weep, for ever weep (Hable con Ella OST)
of course…

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? Every Ghetto Every City (Lauryn Hill)
no, I want to be a bank robber

WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE? Summertime (Janis Joplin)
Summertime of 2005, to be accurate

WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU? DNA (1200 Micrograms)
Thanks, mum.

WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING? Confide In Me (Kyle Minogue)
Always thought it will be 505 by Arctic Monkeys, but this is a great tune too – have a listen if you don’t believe me.

WHAT WILL THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL? Lady Madonna (The Beatles)
That’s that sorted. Only worried about the “children at your feet” bit

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR FRIENDS? Only Ones who know (Arctic Monkeys)
“In foreign place, the saving grace…”

HOW WILL YOU DIE? Paper bag (Fiona Apple)
always knew it will be something pathetic

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU REGRET? Flesh and blood (Johny Cash)

WHAT MAKES YOU LAUGH? Shape of my heart (Sting)
particularly funny shape it’s got

WHAT MAKES YOU CRY? Late in the day (Supergrass)

WILL YOU EVER GET MARRIED? 107 Steps (Bjork)
they will be long, long steps, if you ask me

WHAT SCARES YOU THE MOST? Hearts and flowers (Lamb)
ha ha ha. it’s true – I find them fucking scary.

DOES ANYONE LIKE YOU? How can you be sure? (Thom Yorke)
Thom is always right!!

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE? Dirty Man (Joss Stone)
I definitely would, all of them

WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS? Sexy boy (Air)
some more on the gender confusion

There you go. I only cheated once when the song title was spanish and I had no clue what it meant. Slightly too many questions if you ask me, but you should try!

Some definite gender confusion going on there but great results, I’m curious how you will die by paper bag but I hope it will happen at the record age of 120 or something and not soon ;)
