httrack and wget suck up entire websites very efficiently.
give a try to gpodder(don’t know if it works with iPod Touch, guess not; RhythmBox syncs with iPod though.)

I really hope you’ll have a lot of fun and success with Linux and you know were to shout at me if you need help. I’d really love to hear how you get on. Hopefully meeting the four large LugRadio gents won’t be too much of a culture shock. LOL.

And whatever you do, don’t listen to people that start their conversation with the word “Emacs”…. ;)
