- Road to Brussels
I arrived quite late to find the station completely empty and couldn’t find my way around, since it’s apparently deemed unnecessary to put signs around public transport in Brussels. After an 8 hours journey, empty train station filled with the sound of working escalators and occasional announcement beeping sound with no announcement to follow is quite something, I can tell you.
- Ana’s summer route
I am off to Brussels tomorrow, first instalment of my summer travel. In a true web spirit I put this map together so that you can keep up with me and maybe meet me for a beer if I happen to be round your area. I will mark the progress on the map and attach photos, videos etc… There’s very few things better than being on the road.
- How to make a pod.. pod..?
Few people (well, about 3) asked me recently about my football podcast, that I host and produce with Dan, including few (about 2) requests to explain how to make one. The reason I descend to you, little, non-tech people, is that it’s really easy and really handy. I’ll use ‘On the bench’ as a case study…

Also, if I spent enough time looking at art I walk out to see the world as a composition of geometrical shapes and colours. I’m guessing it was the art over-load that was no good here. This is why Tate Modern has a cafe on almost every floor. No escape at the Goldsmiths show, however…
- Gonzo blogging
I always have a look when the scene from ‘Fear in loathing in Las Vegas’ comes on, in which the voice over says ‘there was an evidence in this room of excessive consumption of almost every type of drug known to civilized men 1544 a.d.’ Meanwhile you can see Johnny Depp standing up in a room full of water and turning around so that we can see he’s got a massive tail.) I’ve been watching it and thinking about journalism and gozo. While there is no shortage of personal narrative around blogs (indeed a lot of times it’s quite too personal taken into account the public nature of the medium) the reporting bit is next to none…
